Looking back at the Joint Diplomatic Programme
Our colleague Babet Mooij joined the yearly NL-UK Joint Diplomatic Programme in Londen from 30 October - 1 November 2024: a three-day training for UK and NL diplomats, covering several foreign policy priorities and skill-based learning.
A strong bilateral relationship
Both countries share a strong bilateral relationship. The program promotes learning from each other, sharing experiences and building relationships to strengthen diplomatic ties with our NorthSeaNeighbours by engaging in workshops such as “Europe in 2030”, “NATO cooperation” and “Writing Policy with impact”. It was an honour to be invited by our UK colleagues in London.
The Academy for International Relations would like to thank:
👉 All participants for their valuable exchanges and for the fun moments.
👉 We also would like to thank Paul Huijts for welcoming the group at the Dutch Embassy, Annemijn van den Broek for hosting us at the Dutch Residence, and the UK Ambassador to the Netherlands, Joanna Roper, for her warm welcome at the UK Residence.
👉 And most of all William Collinson, Anthony O’Hare, Jasmin Vassilev, Naomi van de Vorst, Rosa van der Kroon, Anton Moggre en Sophie van Gemert for organizing this training!
